  • Kick-Off Meeting, Stennis Space Center, MS (2/08)
  • The first meeting of the QARTOD to OGC (Q2O) effort was held Tuesday morning, February 26th, through noon on Thursday, February 28th, 2008. Our host was the NOAA NCDDC at the Stennis Space Center, Mississippi.

The 25 attendees included leaders from each of the following groups: OGC, QARTOD, OOSTETHYS and MMI. The workshop provided a half-day tutorial on OGC/Sensor Web Enablement; an overview of the current status of each of the QARTOD focus areas; and updates on current efforts in interoperability. The goal of the workshop was to orient the various groups in our effort to specifically implement QA/QC standards developed and accepted by the QARTOD participants through the OGC SWE and to enable each of the groups to work in parallel on our efforts to implement QA/QC methods into our interoperability sites.
